Grady wins next term as UCU leader
UCU general secretary Jo Grady

JO GRADY was re-elected today as UCU’s general secretary following a tight contest with King’s College London professor Ewan McGaughey.

The incumbent, who’s been in the role since 2019, said: “We have achieved so much in the past five years, including further education’s biggest pay award in a decade and the greatest pension win in UK trade union history.

“But there is still much to do. Under my leadership UCU will continue to be a fighting union that will stand up for education.”
