‘Another blow’ for gig economy firms as Addison Lee drivers secure settlements

THREE Addison Lee drivers in a class action lawsuit demanding workers’ rights have reached an out of court settlement with the private hire company.

Leigh Day, which is representing more than 600 drivers in the case, said the settlement is “yet another blow to big firms operating in the gig economy.” 

GMB organiser Steve Garelick said: “For seven years, GMB has stood alongside our members in this fight for justice.
