AMAZON workers are to strike at the retail giant’s £500 million flagship new centre in Birmingham on Thursday.

The action will mark the anniversary of the first-ever official strike action at Amazon warehouse in Britain, and comes just weeks after the centre’s opening in Sutton Coldfield.

It will be the third Amazon workplace to face strike action with the company having faced nearly 30 days of walkouts in the last 12 months, including more than 1,000 workers downing tools during its Black Friday event in November.
