Energy sites across Britain to be hit by strikes as thousands of construction workers vote for industrial action

GMB announced strikes at energy sites across Britain yesterday.

Thousands of construction workers at Stanlow, Fawley, Valero, Grangemouth and Mossmorran oil refineries and Sellafield nuclear facility have voted in favour of industrial action.

Strike votes are also expected at Drax and Hartlepool nuclear power station in the coming days.
