Tory peer resigns as minister as Rishi Sunak is ‘simply uninterested’ in climate change
Foreign Office minister Lord Goldsmith has announced his resignation, accusing the Government of "apathy" over environmental issues.

TORY peer Zac Goldsmith today accused Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of being “simply uninterested” in climate change as he resigned as Foreign Office minister.

The Boris Johnson ally was among 10 Conservatives and the only serving minister the Commons privileges committee said was part of a campaign to undermine its inquiry into the former PM’s partygate lies.

Mr Sunak said he resigned after refusing to apologise for his comments about the cross-party committee which were “incompatible with his position as a minister.
