RMT delegates spoke out against assaults on railway staff at their Bournemouth AGM.
The conference instructed the union’s officials to make sure every company operating on the railways has a genuine duty-of-care policy and that it is followed in post-assault cases.
London Underground Central Line West branch delegate Ross Marshall said: “We have members being treated for a broken shoulder as the result of assaults and members receiving mental health treatment.”
