Black Labour MPs demand urgent action from party leadership on anti-black racism

BLACK Labour MPs have demanded urgent action from the party’s leadership on anti-black racism and implementation of the recommendations in the Forde report.

The 2022 report by Martin Forde KC detailed a toxic sectarianism towards former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn as well as bullying and racism against party members and MPs by senior staff.

It identified concerns that attention to cases of anti-semitism and the importance they played in the “interfactional conflict” had led to the party “in effect operating a hierarchy of racism” with other forms of discrimination ignored.
