Aslef calls on government to step up after ‘significant’ new pay deals offered in Wales and Scotland
ASLEF urged Tory ministers to act today after the train drivers’ union received “significantly improved” pay offers from devolved Labour and SNP governments in Wales and Scotland respectively.
The deals, which follow months of intermittent strikes across several train operators, will be put to members, it confirmed.
In contrast, Westminster “does not appear to be interested in getting a resolution” for England, the union charged.
