Anti-arms campaigners anticipate High Court decision on arms sales to Saudi Arabia as Yemen war enters ninth year
Houthi supporters attend a rally marking nine years of the war, Friday, March 26, 2023, in Sanaa, Yemen

ANTI-ARMS campaigners are waiting to hear from the High Court on their challenge of the government’s decision to renew arms exports to Saudi Arabia as its war on Yemen hits its ninth year.

The Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) has brought on a second judicial review following a successful case in 2019 temporarily halting arms exports and military support to the kingdom and its allies.

Katie Fallon of CAAT said called Britain’s role in Yemen a “dark stain on the legacy of UK foreign policy.”
