A VIGIL was staged in memory of workers killed by Covid-19 on Saturday — the anniversary of the declaration of a pandemic by the World Health Organisation on March 11 2020.
The vigil, outside the People’s History Museum in Manchester, was organised by Manchester Hazards, the workplace health and safety research and campaign group.
Edward Garner, of Manchester Hazards, said: “The weather was very miserable and against us, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm and desire of families to speak up about their family members who had died of Covid during this awful pandemic.
