North Korea fires short range ballistic missiles
NORTH KOREA fired two short-range ballistic missiles toward Japan today during its second weapons test in three days.
The move drew quick condemnation, prompting Tokyo to request an emergency meeting of the United Nations security council.
The test follows an intercontinental ballistic missile launch on Saturday and North Korea’s threats to take a strong response to United States-South Korean military drills, which the North views as an invasion rehearsal.
