Aid fundraising for Turkey-Syria earthquake surpasses £60 million

AID fundraising for victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake surpassed £60 million on Sunday. 

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which brings together 15 leading UK aid charities, says its appeal has raised the sum in just three days.

The death toll from the double earthquake that struck Turkey and north-western Syria last Monday rose to 29,000 over the weekend.
