Teachers at sixth-form colleges across England set to strike over pay
TEACHERS at sixth-form colleges in England have voted to strike over pay.
Members of the National Education Union (NEU) backed action in response to a 5 per cent pay offer by the Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA), rising to 8.9 per cent for a small minority of teachers.
The ballot result paves the way for the first national strike in the sector since 2016, with the first planned walkout due on Wednesday November 30.
