Thousands of climate activists stage week-long protest in New York
CLIMATE activists are set to march through New York City today to draw attention to the climate emergency.
The Occupy Park Avenue march is part of a week-long set of protests by Extinction Rebellion and other activist groups against climate change and inequality.
The US is approaching the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated New York and New Jersey, killing 44 people and causing damage estimated at $19 billion (£16m).
