GMB Union launchs collective grievance against platform-based private hire firm Bolt

GMB launched legal action against private hire firm Bolt over unpaid holiday pay today.

The Estonian app-based giant owes drivers for what should have been paid time off, charged the union, which said it had lodged a collective grievance against Bolt to claim “past and future deductions” of workers’ earnings.

The Supreme Court ruled last year that those employed by similar app-based firms are entitled to holiday pay, “establishing an industry standard that the company should follow,” the union said.
