ANDY BURNHAM has slammed Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to ban Labour frontbenchers from picket lines, saying he sees “nothing controversial” in supporting striking workers. 

The Greater Manchester mayor was due to join RMT general secretary Mick Lynch at the launch of Enough is Enough, a new campaign calling for action to tackle the cost-of-living crisis, on Tuesday. 

When asked on Sky News if he would join the union leader on the picket line, Mr Burnham said: “I would, you know. I don’t see this as controversial.
