THE Communist Party of Ireland expressed its solidarity with Sabina Coyne Higgins after she called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
Ms Higgins, who is married to Irish President Michael D Higgins, has faced a backlash after publishing a letter in national media last month.
But the Communist Party praised her for her principled stand, which it said was “in marked contrast to the snivelling and shoneen role of the Irish political, military and media Establishment.
