Transport for London funding is ‘negligent and disgraceful’, says TSSA

THE latest short-term Transport for London (TfL) funding from the government is “highly negligent and disgraceful,” TSSA general secretary Manuel Cortes has said.

Mr Cortes called on Transport Secretary Grant Shapps to “get a grip” on Saturday after TFL’s funding deal was extended only until July 13 having run out on Friday June 24.

The transport union leader said: “Grant Shapps must be held responsible for the deliberate damage he is doing to London and the chances of a wider economic recovery from Covid.
