Postcode lottery for multiple sclerosis treatment must end, union demands
THE postcode lottery for multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment must end, members of the GMB union have demanded.
A drug used to treat the debilitating condition should be made available on the NHS in England, according to a motion backed at the general union’s 2022 congress on Tuesday.
Fampridine, which costs about £600 a month, is free at the point of use in Wales and Scotland but not elsewhere.
