UKRAINIAN President Volodomyr Zelensky compared the Russian invasion of his country to the Nazi’s “final solution” for Jews as he addressed the Israeli parliament yesterday.
He paraphrased the words of late Israeli premier Golda Meir in a video message using the words: “We want to live, but our neighbours want to see us dead.”
Mr Zelensky, who lost family members in the Holocaust, drew parallel’s with Ukraine and Israel’s history as he called for support for the people’s resistance against Russian invaders.
