Aston Martin workers vote for strike action over £100,000 pension cut

ASTON MARTIN faces the threat of strikes over changes to pensions that could cost workers up to £100,000, Unite warned today.

The union said members at some of the luxury car firm’s factories across England and Wales have voted overwhelmingly in a consultative ballot to hold a full-scale industrial action ballot in the new year.

The company wants to close the defined benefit pension scheme, where payments and other benefits are guaranteed, on January 31.
