Patients' lives put at risk by using ‘bargain basement’ vehicles ambulances, union charges

by our Industrial reporter @TrinderMatt

Safety reps from the GMB union said that Fiat vehicles, which the service operates alongside its traditional fleet, have a significant safety flaw.

They warned that, because the seat position has been changed, staff and patients cannot place the seat belt correctly across their collar bone and shoulder.
