Yemen’s Houthi movement awaiting UN response to peace proposals
YEMEN’S Houthi movement said that it is waiting for a positive response from the United Nations to a peace initiative it hopes will bring an end to more than six years of conflict.
Leader Abdul-Malik Badreddin tabled the proposal on Monday.
The Houthis’ Sanaa-based National Salvation government is now waiting for an answer from the new UN special envoy to the region, Hans Grundberg.
