STRIKE action against fire-and-rehire contracts is set to hit a Nottingham-based manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics on Thursday.
The workers at BCM Fareva, which supplies high street chain Boots, are due to walk out for 24 hours from 5.30am.
Usdaw national organiser Daniel Adams said: “Our members have been left with little option other than industrial action given the company is now carrying out its threat to fire and rehire staff to impose drastic cuts in sick pay and other terms and conditions.
