Battle continues to rage in Libya in so-called ‘proxy war’
FUEL tanks were targeted during an assault on Mitiga airport in Libya on Saturday, causing a large fire, as battle continues to rage for control of the capital Tripoli.
Libya’s National Oil Corp (NOC) said the fire was under control at Tripoli’s last functioning airport.
Civilian flights ceased in March due to constant shelling by the forces of General Khalifa Hiftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA).
