A GROUP of cross-party peers are backing calls from the TUC and charities for more government support for clinically vulnerable people going back to workplaces.
The union organisation and the coalition of charities including Age UK, Diabetes UK, Macmillan and the MS Society want a guaranteed decent income and job security for vulnerable people while infection risks remain high.
In March, the government asked around 627,000 vulnerable working people to stay at home and shield from coronavirus.
