INVESTIGATIONS are under way following the brutal murder of Chilean photojournalist Albertina Martinez Burgos, who was found dead in her Santiago home last Thursday.
She had been beaten and stabbed, while her recent photographs were stolen during the attack.
Ms Burgos had documented government repression of the protests against right-wing President Sebastien Pinera. She had focused particularly on violence against women.
