Majority of Tories back a no-deal Brexit over May's deal, poll reveals

MORE than half of Conservative Party members would rather back a no-deal Brexit than support their leader's deal, a poll revealed today.

In a three-way choice, 57 per cent of grassroots Tories said they would support leaving the European Union without an agreement, while 23 per cent said they would back Prime Minister Theresa May's deal.

A two-way referendum would see only 29 per cent of Tory members endorsing the PM’s stance, with 64 per cent voting for a no-deal Brexit, the poll suggested.
