SYRIAN government forces uncovered another huge stash of US-supplied weapons at a former jihadist stronghold during a clean-up operation today.

The discovery was made in the town of Yadoudah, near the provincial capital of Daraa, as the Syrian army seized a large quantity of US and Israeli-made missiles left behind by the Free Syrian Army and jihadist rebels.

It is the latest batch of military equipment to be found in areas of Syria formerly held by terrorist groups, with the government accusing the US of training so-called rebels on the ground who are fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad.
