NATIONAL service for former prime ministers and an invitation to EU member states to join the UK are among the eye-catching manifesto pledges unveiled today by satirical candidate Count Binface.
Binface, who styles himself as an intergalactic space warrior, is standing against Rishi Sunak in the PM’s Richmond, Yorkshire, constituency.
Other promises in the Binface manifesto include Grade I listing for Claudia Winkelman’s fringe and double-locking pensions with an extra chain on the side.
The document is titled “Bloody Loyal To Wherever I’m Standing For Election” in tribute to Tory chairman Richard Holden who declared himself “bloody loyal to the north” before bolting from his Durham constituency to the safer, and far more southern, Basildon and Billericay seat.
Launching his manifesto on the same day as Reform, Binface said he was sure “it is the most sensible manifesto being launched today.
“It is a bold and bracing programme fit to bursting with sensible policies that mix the local, the national and the intergalactic,” said the count, previously Lord Buckethead before a legal dispute stripped him of the title.
