Usdaw launch campaign for kinder shopping

BRITAIN’S shop workers are set to launch a campaign next week against a daily catalogue of abuse they suffer from customers in the run-up to Christmas.

Shop workers face insults, abuse, threats and even physical violence throughout the year, but the pre-Christmas shopping period is a time of particular stress and pressure, shop workers’ union Usdaw said yesterday.

The union runs a Respect for Shopworkers week every year and this year’s campaign will start on Monday.
