Fears raised over proposed Inverness Airport expansion amid climate emergency

FEARS were raised today about a proposed multimillion-pound expansion of Inverness airport amid the climate emergency. 

Plans for a new £55 million terminal at the site emerged as part of mooted measures to cope with a predicted growth in passenger numbers to and from Inverness. 

Highlands and Islands Airports, the publicly owned operator, has produced a 25-year plan to more than double the number of passengers going through Inverness.
