Rail union backs Scottish Greens' plan to nationalise rail services

RAIL union TSSA has backed a new plan outlined by the Scottish Greens that would see services nationalised and more towns in Scotland linked by rail.
The party published its £22 billion Rail for All programme today, which would pull investment from extending the road network to double the resources pumped into rail, creating 14,000 jobs.
The proposals would see Scotland’s rail infrastructure nationalised and produce net zero carbon by 2030, build a tunnel under the Forth between Edinburgh and Fife, and towns of 5,000 people or more connected to the network where possible.
