Beirut blast: Firefighters in Britain hold minute's silence
FIREFIGHTERS across Britain are holding a minute’s silence tomorrow in honour of emergency service workers in Beirut and those who were killed by the devastating blast.
At least 10 firefighters have gone missing after responding to the initial fire at Beirut’s port on Tuesday which was followed by a second explosion that sent shock waves through the city.
More than 130 people have died while thousands have been injured. Almost half of Lebanon’s capital has been affected by damage leaving 300,000 people homeless.
