Corbyn joins calls for sanctions over Israel’s annexation plans

JEREMY CORBYN has joined 145 other MPs and peers to press for sanctions on Israel if it pushes ahead with threats to annex parts of the West Bank.

Their letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has gained the support of a dozen more parliamentarians since it was published on May 1.

MPs and peers from across the political spectrum have backed it, including former Tory cabinet ministers Lord Patten and Andrew Mitchell and Labour MPs Margaret Hodge and Naz Shah.
