Peerages for Corbyn criticsand ousted top Tories

FORMER Labour MPs Ian Austin and John Woodcock have been nominated to sit in the House of Lords as non-affiliated peers, the BBC reported yesterday.

Mr Austin left the party last year over what he called a “culture of anti-semitism” while Mr Woodcock left after an investigation was launched in 2018 into claims that he sent inappropriate messages to a female former aide.

The critics of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn stepped down as MPs at December’s election and urged voters to back the Tories.
