Spanish fans not interested in Super Cup

THE Spanish Federation was in panic mode ahead of its Super Cup’s Saudi Arabian debut this week, with Spanish fan interest at an alarmingly low level.

The cup’s new semi-finals format begins with Real Madrid facing Valencia today, then Barcelona taking on Atletico Madrid tomorrow.

More than 35,000 tickets were sold for Sunday’s final in the first 24 hours after being put on sale.
