Johnson calls for an early general election for a third time
Boris Johnson

BORIS JOHNSON announced today he will only allow more time for MPs to debate his EU withdrawal agreement if they agree to a general election in seven weeks’ time.

The Prime Minister wants to hold a general election on December 12 and has been planning on tabling the motion this week in order for a vote to take place on Monday.

He urged Labour MPs to back his third attempt to trigger an early general election.
