GB head coach calls on side to improve on the little things ahead of Australia clash

GREAT BRITAIN men’s head coach Danny Kerry admits his team need to tidy up some little things before they face FIH Pro League table-toppers Australia tomorrow.

Britain threw away 2-0 and 3-2 leads in their 4-3 defeat by Germany at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Thursday night, which has put a dent in their ambitions of finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Grand Final in Amsterdam at the end of the month.

And they faced a further blow with Will Calnan, who scored GB’s first goal on Thursday, ruled out of tomorrow’s clash after limping off at the start of the second quarter. However, they will welcome back forward Chris Griffiths, who missed the Germany game through squad rotation.
