SPEEDWAY:

Chris Harris top-scored with 16+2 points from seven rides as the King’s Lynn Stars picked up their first Premiership win of the season, coming from behind to claim a narrow 46-44 scoreline over Leicester on Monday evening.

Oxford Spires remain without a point and sit bottom of the table after failing to win a heat in their heavy 57-33 loss to defending champions Belle Vue in Manchester.

MEN’S BASKETBALL:

London Lions take a four-point Super League lead into Wednesday night’s match with lowly Bristol at the Copper Box Arena despite suffering a surprise 88-80 loss to Surrey 76ers in their last outing.

Second-placed Leicester, who have a game in hand, take on the 76ers Thursday evening when out-of-form Newcastle Eagles have home advantage over a Manchester team that has won its last five games.

SNOOKER:

Jackson Page became the first player to hit two maximum 147 breaks in a match when he saw off Allan Taylor 10-2 in the third qualifying round for this year’s World Championship.

Ranked 35th in the world, the Welshman, who had not previously managed a 147 during his six-year professional career, will pick up a £147,000 bonus prize even if he loses Wednesday’s final qualifying match against Joe O’Connor.

SPEEDWAY:

Former three-time world champion Tai Woffinden has released a video of his first assisted steps, 10 days after waking from an induced coma following a crash while riding in Poland.

The 34-year-old’s catalogue of injuries include a double compound fracture to a femur, broken vertebrae, a dislocated elbow, broken humerus, punctured lung, twelve broken ribs, dislocated shoulder and broken shoulder-blade.
