POLICE are refusing permission for a counter-protest to take place at the same time and in the same place as a English Defence League demo on Saturday.
The far-right group will march to Cornmarket car park in Worcester from 1.30pm against proposals for a mosque to be built in the city.
Opponents hoped to protest in the car park, but West Mercia Police said counter-protests should instead be in Silver Street car park, on the other side of the town centre.
