NHS staff to protest over transfer of jobs to private subsidiary firm

NHS staff will protest in York tomorrow over plans to transfer health service jobs to a subsidiary company owned by the local management trust.

Four unions have joined forces for the protest – Unison, Unite, GMB and the Royal College of Nursing.

In common with many other NHS trusts, the York Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust wants to establish a subsidiary company to take over the employment of staff.
