SNP attacked over police figures ‘lie’

BRITISH Transport Police staff will be “hopping mad” at the SNP after the party claimed it was committed to maintaining jobs north of the border, a trade union leader stormed yesterday.

SNP’s Westminster leader Angus Robertson told Thursday night’s BBC debate that police numbers were safe in Scotland.

But transport union TSSA pointed to attempts by the SNP to merge British Transport Police (BTP) officers into Police Scotland.
