Aide indicted for helping South Korea’s dodgy Park

PROSECUTORS in Seoul indicted former top presidential aide Cho Won Dong yesterday for working with impeached President Park Geun Hye to try to force a top company director to resign.

Former deputy culture minister Kim Chong was also indicted on charges of colluding with the president’s close ally Choi Soon Sil and her niece to force companies to donate large sums of money to a sports foundation established by the niece.

There are likely to be further charges as prosecutors continue their investigation into the massive political scandal that led to the downfall of Ms Park.
