‘Ban leasing of squalid homes’ – report

BAD landlords should be banned from making cash from squalid properties, housing experts recommend in a report released today.

The London Housing Commission proposes a raft of new powers for the mayor and councils in its report.

It says landlords should have until 2025 to bring homes up to standard before barring leases on sub-par properties.
