Former MP Davidson gets Vote Leave post

FORMER Glasgow South West MP Ian Davidson was appointed labour movement co-ordinator for the anti-EU Vote Leave campaign yesterday.

Mr Davidson’s appointment is part of a bid to broaden the campaign’s appeal by reducing its domination by the Conservative Party.

It is thought Gisela Stuart, the Labour MP for Edgbaston, will replace former chancellor Nigel Lawson at the head of the group.
