EU plans sanctions for Libyan leaders
EUROPEAN Union countries are preparing possible sanctions against Libyan leaders blamed for undermining the peace process and blocking the formation of a unity government.
Diplomats from the bloc, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that a small list of “spoilers” could be targeted as soon as next week.
EU foreign ministers will hold informal discussions on Libya in Brussels on Monday, with a briefing by a UN envoy.
