I met a Chelsea supporter at Wheatsheaf Park last Wednesday. A fan of the men’s team, he was a season ticket holder of the women’s side because it was £25.
The fact that he lived in Croydon and travelled down to Staines for the home games didn’t bother him because it was too expensive to watch games at Stamford Bridge. He wanted to watch Chelsea football club play, it didn’t bother him whether it was Gemma Davison or Eden Hazard on the wing.
He explained that he couldn’t even watch one men’s game for the price of his season ticket and felt he was getting value for his money.
