FRANCE and Russia joined forces against Islamic State (Isis) yesterday, as Paris asked fellow EU nations for military aid.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the powerful missile cruiser Moskva, already in the Mediterranean, to begin co-operation with France on operations in Syria.
And Mr Putin will host French President Francois Hollande in Moscow on November 26 for high level talks on further co-operation against Isis.
