Left MPs protest at mayor's 'misleading' tube strike stance
Labour MPs John McDonnell and Ian Lavery led a protest yesterday against London mayor Boris Johnson’s “one-sided and misleading” propaganda attacking striking Tube workers.
The MPs accused Mr Johnson of wasting farepayers’ and taxpayers’ money on funding adverts which “only serve to inflame the dispute.”
They put down a Commons early day motion against the adverts and expressing concern that there had been no public consultation on the future of Tube ticket offices.
